The mission of the PRB is to serve the public interest by developing, updating and communicating comprehensive standards and practice guidance that enable peer reviewers to provide high-quality, objective peer review services to CPA firms in an effective and efficient manner.
The PRB accomplishes this mission by (1) developing peer review standards that inspire public trust, (2) lead development of timely, focused recommendations for accounting service and audit quality improvements, and (3) responding timely to the need for guidance and communicating it clearly to the peer review community.
