I joined WIEC because I believe there is still more work to be done to bring women forward in our profession.

My career has taught me that talent and hard work matter, but access, support, and opportunity matter too. I have seen firsthand the challenges women face as they build careers, step into leadership roles, navigate firm ownership, and balance the many responsibilities that exist outside of work. I am excited to be part of the conversations that help create more opportunities for women to thrive in this profession.

A little about me: I am Tenly Krakoff, co-founder of The Purple Group, where I focus on tax compliance and tax strategy consulting for small business owners. My path into accounting was anything but traditional. I was a non-traditional college student raising two kids while earning my degree and CPA license. Over the years, I have worked in tax, firm operations, CPA software and professional training, firm leadership, and now small firm ownership.

While this is my first committee role, I am excited to jump in, learn from this group, and contribute where I can.

I look forward to getting to know all of you.

Hello everyone! I am so excited and grateful to be joining WIEC.

I'm Hailey Gomillion and I am a partner at a small tax-focused CPA firm in the Los Angeles suburbs. I am the current Chair of CalCPA's Commission on Belonging, and diversity, equity, and belonging are meaningful topics to me and impact how I show up for my family, community, firm, and the profession. Throughout my career I have been mentored by inspirational women in the profession who have blazed so many trails and I have been inspired by their strong legacies of service and volunteerism. On our onboarding call earlier this month, someone shared the image of putting the ladder down for other to follow you as you rise - that is what my mentors have done for me and that is what I hope to do for others by joining WIEC.

I look forward to working alongside all of you!
