    One of the things that makes our community special is the variety of experiences, traditions, and perspectives we each bring. Let's learn a little more about one another through the ways we spend our summers. Summer means something different to each of us...family traditions, travel adventures, staycations, community celebrations, favorite foods, or simply finding time to recharge.

    So far, my summer has been spent courtside in Orlando and Myrtle Beach, cheering on my two boys during basketball tournaments. As a mom of a rising senior, I find myself appreciating these moments a little more, knowing how quickly this chapter is moving by. Between the games, long weekends, and time together as a family, I've been reminded that some of life's most treasured memories are made in the everyday moments. It's a summer I'll cherish forever. 🏀❤️

    Our summer tradition is visiting my husband's family in Houston. We have 3 nephews that live there and love spending time with them. This year we took them to the Schlitterbahn waterpark in Galveston - 10/10 would recommend.

    Our summer tradition is heading to the Hollywood Bowl, a historic outdoor amphitheater that hosts the LA Phil every summer. You are allowed to bring in your own picnic dinners and it's an incredible night of family fun, community, and music under the stars. They have a variety of shows we go to every year, but an annual occurrence is a concert celebrating the movie music of John Williams (with a cameo by John Williams himself to conduct a few songs). This is beloved tradition with family and friends as we enjoy an evening out together under the stars appreciating the beauty of a Southern California summer evening.

    My summer has been filled with opportunities to connect, explore, and enjoy time with the people who matter most. One highlight was visiting the incredible Titanic exhibit in Charlotte-it was a fascinating experience that brought history to life in a memorable way. I've also been enjoying quality time with family and friends, making the most of the season and creating new memories along the way.

    Looking ahead, I'm excited to head to Louisville in August for the Bourbon Women SIPosium 2026. Between meeting new people, learning something new, and experiencing all that Louisville has to offer, it's shaping up to be a fun and memorable adventure. I've also been staying focused on my Krav Maga training and preparing to level up this fall-a goal that's keeping me motivated all summer long.

    I'm looking forward to seeing what other surprises and opportunities the rest of the season has in store! ☀️🥃🥋✈️
