  • 1.  Success Skills for Emerging Leaders Conference - Planning Committee Members Needed

    Hi Everyone, 

    We are looking for four professionals to join our Planning Committee for a new virtual conference, Success Skills for Emerging Leaders. The conference is designed to provide a professional growth experience for anyone with less than 15 years of experience in accounting and finance. We hope that this conference will help professionals further build their success skills such as communication, self-awareness and leadership, relationship building, feedback, adaptability, and change management.

    Below are the details surrounding the committee requirements:

    • Time commitment: approximately 20 hours annually for the conference.
    • All meetings will be virtual and will take place between February and August each year. 
    • Members will receive free registration to the virtual conference to be held on August 19-20, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM ET. 
    • Members are expected to assist with moderating sessions during the conference. Approximately 2 sessions per committee member. 

    If you are interested in becoming a committee member, please comment below and we will coordinate schedules for a kickoff meeting in late February or early March.

    I am writing to express my interest in volunteering as a Planning Committee member for the Success Skills for Emerging Leaders virtual conference. I am a CPA and CGMA with experience across financial planning, commercial analysis, and leadership development, and I am passionate about supporting emerging professionals in building critical success skills, and lessons from the global South.

    No other criteria! We typically would prefer US based professionals for logistical reasons with coordinating meeting times and availability purposes.
