  • 1.  Reflections from the AI Impact Summit New Delhi: AI is Now a Boardroom Priority

    Posted 02-24-2026 11:35 AM

AI is no longer a future conversation. It is now a leadership agenda.

I recently had the privilege of attending the AI Impact Summit in New Delhi, and it was truly a fantastic and energising experience.

What stood out most was the clear shift in narrative. AI is no longer being discussed only as a technology tool. It is now being recognised as a core driver of business transformation, decision intelligence and competitive advantage.

One of the most inspiring aspects of the Summit was the opportunity to interact with many young entrepreneurs who are building new-age ventures with remarkable confidence, clarity and innovation. Their energy and forward thinking mindset reflect how rapidly the business landscape is evolving.

Meeting Jaiwardhan Tyagi, a 14-year-old entrepreneur, was a powerful reminder that the next generation is already stepping forward to shape the future.

Some reflections that strongly resonated with me:

    • AI is redefining the finance function, moving it from transaction processing to predictive insight and strategic guidance.
    • Decision making is increasingly intelligence driven, powered by real time data and advanced AI models.
    • Productivity gains are becoming exponential, fundamentally reshaping cost structures and operating models.
    • Leadership mindset will be the real differentiator, and organisations that embrace AI early will lead the future.

It was encouraging to see the seriousness with which organisations in India are embracing AI as a strategic priority and integrating it into their core business thinking.

As leaders, this is a defining moment. AI will not replace leadership, but leaders who understand and leverage AI will redefine business performance and enterprise value.

The future has already begun, and it is unfolding faster than we imagine.

    Dear Chanchal,

I saw the energy and enthusiasm in the summit and your reflections are spot on.

The shift from experimental Proofs of concept (PoC) to actual, deployed products was the most striking takeaway from the summit.

The next hurdle isn't the technology itself—it's trust and capability. To truly move the needle, we must prioritize comprehensive training.

For our members, this isn't just about learning a new tool; it is about building the skills to ensure these systems augment our professional judgment rather than just automating tasks. By focusing on training as our primary enabler, we ensure that leadership remains firmly in the driver’s seat of this transformation

Thanks for such a thought provoking article.

@Chanchal Sinha Great insights from the Summit.

You mentioned the importance of leadership mindset. In your view, what skills or competencies should leaders start developing now to effectively lead AI-driven organisations?

Thank you Ajay. Leaders should focus on data literacy, strategic thinking, and the ability to convert AI capabilities into business value. Equally important are ethical governance, change leadership, and the ability to integrate human judgment with AI-driven insights.
