CGMA Practical Experience Requirements (PER) Community

Hi CIMA

I have a query regarding my PER application.  There are 5 core activities, and I need to write 3. I thought I saw in the PER literature that I can change the titles and write about what i would like to write about as long as it is in the STAR template - is this correct?

Let me explain further. There are 5 titles for the core activities.

1. A. I can evaluate opportunities to add value.
2. B. I can implement strategic decisions
3. C. I can manage performance and costs to aid value creation.
4. D. I can measure performance
5. E. I can manage internal and external stakeholders

What I want to know please is can I write about something else. So I would like to write about the time I created Process improvement within my company.

Could I write about:

6. F. I can create Process Improvement OR do I need to strictly stick to the 5 titles above???

Hi James,

There are 5 core activities that you have correcly identified and students need to select 3 out of the 5 activities which they fel they can give the best examples for from their work experience.

Whilst you can use any examples from projects you have worked on in your organisation, you must select 3 areas from the 5 examples and can't write about something else as this is what all students are assessed across.
