The Rise2040 report got me thinking about the future of our profession. As technology, AI, and business needs continue to change, what advice would you give a new accounting graduate-or someone considering a career in accounting today?  What skills or experiences do you think will matter most over the next decade?

Curiosity and professional skepticism will always be requirements for a good accountant.  With the increasing use of AI, they will become even more important.

I would say that they shouldn't solely focus on how to do the work, but learn and be curious as to why the work matters.  I would also recommend that they get very familiar with using AI and not to be afraid of it!
