CIMA PER Community Question
Hi everyone, I would appreciate some guidance from those who have gone through the CIMA PER process.
I currently work as a Compliance Officer at a Credit Rating Agency, where my responsibilities include regulatory compliance, risk management, regulatory reporting, policy development, monitoring regulatory requirements, and advising the business on compliance matters.
Would this type of experience count towards the CIMA PER requirements, particularly where some of the responsibilities involve areas relevant to governance, risk, controls, analysis and decision-making?
Before my current compliance role, I also held two finance-related positions within the donor/NGO community, where I gained practical experience in financial management, budgeting, reporting, grants management and accounting.
I would be interested to hear from anyone who has had a similar career path or has successfully used a combination of finance and compliance experience towards their PER. How did CIMA assess the compliance experience, and would it be advisable to structure the PER around both roles?
