Balance Over Profits?
"I think everybody should get rich and famous and do everything they ever dreamed of so they can see that it's not the answer."
- Jim Carrey
As firms lean into AI and tech to boost efficiency and profits, it's worth asking:
What if we aimed for modest growth (rather than max growth)-while intentionally designing our work lives for better balance?
Lately I've been thinking about how small habits and simple hacks can create real breathing room-both personally and professionally. I've been using that reclaimed time not to chase higher profits, but to build in more space and balance.
Here are two things that have helped me get more done without sacrificing quality:
-
Batching tasks: Grouping similar work (like reviews or email blocks) instead of constantly switching gears
-
Templating + AI: Starting from structure instead of scratch-whether it's client emails, proposals, or planning
What about you?
What are your habits, hacks or systems that help you get more done in less time-without burning out or cutting corners?
Let's swap ideas. One small shift can create a big impact.
