AI is everywhere. It feels omnipresent across functions.

Yet, if productivity (output per unit of input) cannot be measured and ROI (returns per unit of capital deployed) cannot fully explain it, what exactly is spreading?

Value or narrative?

I think it's both. I don't think that everything has to be measured in input vs. output but let's take a look at how we can be more productive and push past the routine work to get to the strategic projects that we don't always have time for. I think the progress in the ability to add more strategic projects into our day while AI agents are performing the routine work in the background would be the ROI and measurement in itself.
