    Can AI create a new form of agency problem where the algorithm, acting as an agent, optimizes a defined objective function that may diverge from the organization's true intent? If so, how should governance frameworks evolve to address this misalignment?

    This is an interesting question. AI's downfall is it sycophancy- where the AI will conform to established patterns and advise accordingly. At Board level this means that there will not be sufficient challenge. If the other Board members assume that AI knows best, it could mean that companies will keep to existing and possibly outdated strategies.
