  • 1.  Advancing Our Inclusion Journey: What's Shaping Your 2026 Priorities

    Posted 02-11-2026 09:54 AM

Every organization is at a different point in its inclusion journey, and that's what makes this work both challenging and energizing.

If you've had a chance to explore the newly released Inclusive Workplace Guide issued by the National Commission on Diversity and Inclusion (NCDI) - available in the library below. I'd love to hear what resonated with you.

    • Which sections sharpened your thinking or offered a new lens as you shape your 2026 priorities?

    • Where did you see opportunities to deepen or expand your organization's approach?

    • And as federal guidance continues to evolve, what additional tools or insights would help you strengthen inclusion in your workplace?

Looking forward to learning from your experiences and perspectives as we continue building more inclusive, equitable environments across the profession.

Great thread, Anoop! I too would love to hear more from the community about this so that we can continue to support. 😄

    Hi @Anoop Mehta,

I think I'm a bit late to the party here, but wanted to share!  This was the first time I'd reviewed the guide, and it was so succinct and easy to follow.

What stuck out most to me was the reminder of the definitions of DEIB - I think there can be a tendency to focus on one or two of these areas, but it's so important to remember that all four are part of a successful diversity & inclusion strategy.  Belonging in particular is something that I've noticed come up in other community and conference discussions - how can we help younger professionals especially to create a space where there is a sense of acceptance, inclusion, and identify for everyone.

When I worked with accounting students, we had a webinar about belonging with some amazing guest speakers who talked about this very issue, and I heard for months after that it was one of the most helpful talks the students had gone to.  It was a small but mighty group, and I took notes on green and red flags in finding your first job and a lot of other cool items.

@Corinne LaRoche, not sure if you remember that!

Thanks for calling out the report.  Would encourage anyone who is interested to check it out here - Inclusion in Action - AICPA and CIMA.

Thanks Reon! No one is late to the party here, the door is always open. ☺️

I'm really glad to hear that the guide felt accessible and useful! It is easy to focus more heavily on one or two areas, but as you noted, all four are interconnected, and belonging is often where the impact of the other three is most deeply felt. Creating intentional space to talk about belonging, especially for students and younger professionals who are navigating identity, culture, and their first workplaces, can be incredibly powerful. Thank you for sharing your perspective and for modeling what it looks like to be thoughtful in this space. This is exactly how we continue to strengthen our collective approach to improvement.
