Objective: The mission of the depository institution expert panel is to serve to protect the public interest and serve the needs of AICPA members on financial reporting (including business reporting) and audit and attest services by bringing together knowledgeable experts in the specialized industry. The objectives of the DIEP include 1) representing the public interest and AICPA members through liaison activities with various industry groups and regulators, 2) identifying financial reporting and auditing issues, and working with various bodies towards resolutions, and 3) advising and assisting in the development of AICPA products and services related to the industry.
Qualifications/requirements: CPAs that are experts in the depository institution industry.
